What certification actually means here
Certified quality management
Accurate Color & Compounding is ISO 9001:2015 certified. The formula you approve is the formula that gets produced, and the change history behind it is kept.
Approvals before production
A product is not available to sell until the match is approved internally, you have approved the sample, and you have approved the pricing. All three, every time.
Traceable changes
We record what changed on a product, who asked for it and when. When someone asks why a color or a price moved, there is an answer rather than a recollection.
Verified recommendations
Where we recommend a UV or AO package, we back it with in house accelerated weather testing rather than a supplier data sheet alone.
Regulatory requirements
We review against the requirements you give us
Compliance is not a property of a colorant. It depends on the ingredients, the loading, the resin and the application, which means it depends on what you tell us.
What we do
- Record the regulatory requirements that apply to your part against the product specification, so they travel with the formula.
- Review the ingredients we select against those requirements, at the loading you intend to run, before the product is released.
- Tell you plainly when a requirement rules out an additive we would otherwise have recommended, and what the alternative costs you.
What we will not do
- Issue a blanket statement that a product is compliant with a standard we were never asked to formulate against.
- Assume an application. A colorant approved for one customer at one loading is not automatically approved for yours.
- Guess. If a requirement arrives after the formula is set, it is a new review, and we will tell you so rather than sign something.
Tell us early, not at the purchase order
If a part needs a specific approval, needs to survive outdoors, or is going into an application with its own rules, say so at the color match request. A requirement that arrives after the match is finished usually means starting the match again. One that arrives with it usually costs nothing at all.
